Google Performance

Head of Content Design

I led end-to-end content design and tech writing across a multifaceted, two-year initiative to transform Google's performance management program and culture. I managed the work of 5 project content designers, ensured consistency across a complex ecosystem of tools, developed a system of terminology, provided thought partnership on change management messaging and comms strategy, and advocated for user-focused language and design. Our team's work led to a 35% increase in employee satisfaction.

Covid Work-from-Home Response

Content Design Lead

When Google sent its workforce home in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the company needed to help tens of thousands of employees suddenly transition to working from home. My team rapidly launched and managed, an internal site with all policy and help content needed to guide employees to get what they needed to stay productive and thrive while working from home. As an editorial lead, I launched a publishing and quality process, evolved our information architecture, and coordinated with dozens of stakeholders across the company to ensure accurate, timely updates while overseeing contributions from 14 content designers. The site served 400,000+ users in the months after the beginning of the pandemic.

Facebook Metrics

Content Strategy Lead

Research and data showed the metrics we published for advertisers, video publishers, and other businesses and creators caused widespread confusion. I led a company-wide effort to standardize our metrics naming and descriptions, and served on the new metrics review board to ensure all new metrics met our standards for clarity and transparency. My work led to a 52% reduction in advertiser confusion.

Facebook Community Standards Enforcement Report

Content Strategy Lead

In 2018, Facebook publicly reported on enforcement of standards on its platform for the first time. I worked with the team to standardize how we communicated about the metrics and craft the messaging around Facebook's transparency efforts, influenced by market research we conducted in multiple global regions. I wrote the online report and 75-page companion guide, and managed 50+ stakeholders to finalize the content. The report's release garnered 200+ media reports. It is now a standard publication at Meta.

Jewelry Wise

Content Strategist

My agency, Suite Seven, worked with Sterling Jewelers, owner of the retail chains Kay, Jared, and Zales, to develop the content and editorial strategy and a library of relevant articles for this educational consumer website.

Content Strategist & Writer

I developed the content strategy, information architecture and editorial strategy to support this Southern grocery store's website relaunch as it introduced its new brand, then developed the content for the site launch.

Senior Brand Manager

I led the consolidation of 30 business-unit and product Web sites to create a unified, customer-focused corporate Web site. Working with our creative agency and dozens of internal stakeholders, I led a segment-based new IA, content mapping, and rewriting of all content by nearly 100 cross-company marketers.
